Nyashinski shouts out Kipchoge in his latest release ‘Marathon Runner’

Nyashinski is back with another banger. The renowned lyricist has delivered another project dubbed ‘Marathon Runner.`` The track that is an upbeat, simple beat punctuated by the rhythms of a horn and percussion, delivers a contemplative mood offering his audience a chance to really listen to the lyrics. He also provides the full lyrics to the track for fans to fully indulge themselves in the message.
An ode to his Kenyan roots, he says “am Kenyan so you know I am a marathon runner” as he shouts out famed marathon runner Kipchoge Keino. Kipchoge won the Olympic marathon in 2016 and is the current marathon world record holder. In a way, this 3.09-minute track compounds many Kenyans biggest burdens as they carry on with this thing we call life. The hook is the perfect commentary on the rat race as Shinski sings, “Kipchoge, keep jogging…”
Shinki’s unique approach to life’s most difficult truths of poverty, perceptions, and classism are well addressed in the new release and is in line with the style we know his for. The track is written and performed by Nyashinski and the music is co-written and produced by Cedric “Cedo” Kadenyi. Lyrically unmatched, Nyashinski continues to paint a picture for his audience; clearly, there is only one RealShinski.
‘Marathon Runner’ is the second release from the ‘Mungu Pekee’ crooner; with the first being a collaboration with Tanzanian megastar Juma Jux.
