"Mathwiti, makeki" boy releases new hit song

A young James Mbugua, popularly known as "Mbugua Mathwiti" didn't know that his frustrations of missing out on a birthday party five years ago could one day make him a celebrity .The public eye by way of viral videos, caught his attention after Mbugua explained how he missed the chance to eat sweets and cakes in a birthday party that he had attended because he was not clean.

Mbugua's dramatic facial expressions in the video were an instant hit across social media.

The interest in Mbugua led to many well-wishers bringing him gifts.

Instead of becoming a one-hit wonder, Mbugua has now released a song dubbed "Mathwiti" to commemorate his success after the viral video.

The song has already hit 1,000 views on YouTube just hours after it's release, and it’s also one of the top ten trending songs in Kenya.
