Harmonize Releases New EP After Super Star Debut on Coke Studio

East meets West as Coke Studio star and Bongo sensation Harmonize releases new EP titled “Afro Bongo’’. The 4-tracked features acclaimed Afro fusion singer Burna Boy, Bongoflava star Diamond, Afrobeats heavy weights: Mr Eazi and Yemi Alade. An exclusive party went down last night (Feb 25th 2019) in Lagos, Nigeria graced by a cross section of top Nigerian artists including Skales, Krizbeatz, Masterkraft, DJ Neptune and Seyi Shay who has collaborated with Harmonize in “Ko ma Roll”.
The EP comes on the back of a series of smash collaborations and Harmonize mega debut on Africa’s biggest music show. His solo performance to his super fan Rhoda on the show was infectious.
Rhoda is a Kenyan curtain seller who started following his career way before the glitz and glam. Rhoda has watched on as the singer morphed from his smash single ‘’Aiyola’’ to becoming one of East Africa’s top hitmakers and eventually signing to Tanzania’s highflying record label, Wasafi Records.
It was love at first listen for Rhoda who has since remained a loyal and supportive fan, downloading his music and constantly showering the singer with well wishes and support online. Turns out Harmonize had noticed how much Rhoda adored him: “Coke Studio Africa and I decided to surprise her, she is one of my fans who has been supporting me so much on social media. She had no idea what was going on…till I untied her blindfold”.
The backstage to the ultra glam Coke Studio Africa studios provided the perfect setting and ambience for the serenading performance as Harmonize sang his heart out to Rhoda’s favourite song, “Kadamshi”, his 2018 mega hit featuring Dully Skies that left her teary and overwhelmed with delight and adoration.
The Bongoflava star will make another appearance on Coke Studio Africa, alongside celebrated Ugandan diva Sheebah on collaborations produced by producer extraordinaire, GospelOnDeBeatz.
