Mdundo Twitterview: Catching Up with Uganda's Rising Sensation Cosign

Catching up with fast rising Uganda pop-star was nothing short of fun. Making his first major steps in the industry quite recently, but having worked on the same for a while; Cosign is definitely fun to watch out for. Here's how it went down at the Mdundo Twitterview:

Good afternoon, fam, I'm here, let's roll!

Great! What's for lunch?

Lunch's done, had to get it quick & be ready for Mdundo Twitterview.

Tell us about your journey in music... How did it all start?

My journey has been quite a long one, been a contestant in Tusker project fame a couple times, been practicing my craft, but, it was till last year 2017,when I officially let the cat out with my first single "Niwatwire"

How would you describe your style of music?

I'm a versatile artist, I cut across a range of them, not confined, I write my stuff, it's something I termed as "urban-kidandali"... You will find a ghetto yut & uptown yut,old & young vibing to my rhythm.

Why the name Cosign?

Does my music slap you hard? You just said yes, and that's a Cosign, you just cosigned, thus, I am COSIGN, Mr Brrbambam.

What inspired you to choose music as a career?

We all got our strengths in life in different things, they vary from one person to another, so, gladly, music is my niche!!

Tell us about your very first song that you recorded... How did your fans receive it?

Before my debut release. I was on features especially on hooks with artists like Abaasa R and Pryce Teeeba; but I would say, it was all love on my 1st release "Niwatwire" in 2017.

How would you describe your experience at the Tusker Project Fame? Highlights? Challenges?

Well, it was challenging but a thrill, because opposed to going further in stages with it, I learned my lessons, mastered my craft & still learning more. Educating my self, you would say.

Which artist(s) did you look up to in your early days of your music career?

Uh Mayne, you will agree with me that Radio and Weasel, (R.I P Mowzey), been a great inspiration man. Seeing them rise & rise left a positive mark in my life, never been the same ,nah!

How has it been working with Imbabazi, Pryce Teeba and other renowned artists?

S/O's to these people; Pryce Teeba, Imbabazi, Abaasa R and the many I have not mentioned. To me, it's all been growth & it's been about having patience displine, I'm grateful

Tell us about your latest hit 'By The Way'

My latest hit is "By The Way",well, it is about this village slay queen who's out here playing men.

What are your some of your Christmas plans and the entire festive season?

Well, me & my management gonna use that break to cope up some new records in studio, no days off, January hits won't make themselves.

What's next for you in 2019? What should your fans expect from you?

It's unfortunate I started very late in 2018,but grateful still that I used the rest of it to good use. 2019 is gonna be fuego! Muliro! S/o to my fans, that's family, y'all holding me down for real, that's love, I appreciate it!!
