Josh Buxton resurrects Ivulungo career.

Ivulungo gets saved. Releases hot gospel hit with Josh Buxton.

Who remembers Ivulungo? No one? Well that is not as much surprising. What with the conspicuous music absence he has displayed in the music industry. The man has been a no-show.

Well, Uganda's fading music star, based in eastern Uganda has been off the music radar for a forever period. Word has it that he has not been doing well financially and has been trotting from one radio station to another, as presenter, to make ends meet one of them being the now burned-down Kiira F.M

After everything seeming not to work in his favour both musically and in the radio world, the 'Gudumuuka' fading star finally settled down and decided to get saved.
And as they always come, his candle seems to have been ignited again. That is musically. From the look of things he seems to be doing well there, and might soon be sitting comfortably with other gospel artistes.

He has recorded a gospel song with The Uganda Music Award -TUMA 2017 nominee,Josh Buxton, a young star also hailing from same region but living in Kampala whose music prowess is widely known. It is no surprise that this song 'Yesu Gwe Mwana', a remake of the famous traditional balokole church hymn is destined to be an instant hit, considering that Josh Buxton, the Mperekera star adds a dancehall vibe and certain beauty and finishing to the song, and it instantly turns into gold. The song, produced and mastered partly by Nigel Beats also features little-known Harmony Degree. Josh Buxton adds a strong jibe and vigour to the introduction and the rest are laid back and strong on lyrics.
The song is doing well across East African airwaves, topping gospel D.Js playlists and by the open of next year might climb international charts and, who knows, win some awards. D.J Achiever, from Kenya already has it in his international mixtape.
Ivulungo now joins a growing list of secular artistes like Captain Dollar of 'Emesse'fame, the laughable Qute Kaye and others who got saved after their stars were waning and managed to pull media attention that of course did not last long. Most described their moves as just stunts. We shall stand to witness whether Ivulungo doesn't follow suit.

Way to go Ivulungo. May God help you in your new path so that you don't fall down as soon as you have stood, like the rest.
