UGANDA: Levixone Named East Africa’s Best Male Artist in USA Gospel Awards

Ugandan Gospel Singer Levixone has won Best male artist of the year, East Africa award in the just concluded Sauti Awards in the USA.

In a post on his Instagram account, Levixone said he thought it would be hard for him to win the award, considering he was nominated among great artists from countries that do not charge social media tax.

“Some times God puts you in a position that undoubtedly tastes your FAITH, When I got nominated for the @sautiawards in the USA, it was first of all great achievement for me and my country Uganda that came with lots of Questions of whether I will win this award,’ his post reads in part.

“But God said I will, even though it was hard to believe because the other nominees were also great and the fact they are coming from countries that don’t have OTT they were likely to be voted more than me! Lol but My people God was faithful to us we got the BEST MALE ARTISTE OF YEAR EAST AFRICA 2018 award home! By God’s grace!”

He was nominated alongside Pompi (Zambia), Goodluck Gozbert (Tanzania), Paul Clement (Tanzania), Guardian Angel (Kenya) and Moji Short Babaa (Kenya).

The awards, which are in their fourth year, are organised by the US-based Sauti One organisation, which aims to bring together Africans in the diaspora and give back to the continent by recognising the outstanding achievements made by gospel artists.
