The fast rising Ivorian-Nigerian artiste Ishola Rilwan with the stage name Rillz revealed what would have been his options aside music. He also say to his fans across the world to anticipate his new single “Tete la” dropping this month. Meet Rilz in the following interview with JaNaija….

​JaNaija: Can you tell us about yourself? Who is Rillz?

Rillz: Rillz is a 21 year old artist, who’s an Ivorian-Nigerian and fresh graduate of French and international studies from Osun state university, Osogbo Osun State, Nigeria.

JaNaija: What is your music style?

Rillz: seriously, I find it hard to give a specific genre to my music cause I believe that I am diversified but I could say I do more of afropop,Afro-fusion , Rnb.

JaNaija: What and Who inspired your first single?

Rillz: my first single was inspired by Chris brown and wande Coal, I used to listen to them a lot so I wanted to follow in their footsteps while trying to do something different.

JaNaija: What were the challenges you faced while recording your first single?

Rillz: Uhm about that it’s funny, but it was really stressful to go about it. First the financial aspect of it for someone without a job, then had to travel to Ogbomoso but recording but the best part was that the producer was superb.

JaNaija: What would you say about the sales of your songs so far?

Rillz: It’s been good so far even though I have not yet reached my target but so far it’s good I have been able to reach a lot of people with my music in and outside the country.

JaNaijat: How many awards do you have to your credit?

Rillz: So far I have 5 awards and praying to receive more awards.

JaNaija: Does your parent fully support your music career?

Rillz: Totally, in the beginning it was pretty hard for them to accept it but they later stood by my side.

JaNaija: have you worked with any recognized producer before?

Rillz : Yes, i have worked with more than 1. Like Superstar producer Kiddominant and Olumix “Mr Jahelo”.

JaNaija: Are we to expect or do you have remix of some of your songs or any video?


Rillz: I am planning on doing a remix of correct with one of biggest Ivorian group Force One and maybe with a visual along with it.

JaNaija: If you are not into music what would you be doing?

Rillz: sincerely, I always wanted to play football professionally but things took another turn, but if not I would have love to work in the International Relations sector or maybe doing business of different kinds.

JaNaija: What’s your relationship status?

Rillz: That, you really want to know… you probably wouldn’t believe it If i were to tell you that I am single.

JaNaija: Are you looking forward to working with any artist?

Rillz: yeah, I hope I to work with Davido very soon, would really love to do something with him.

JaNaija: What should we be expecting soon from you?

Rillz: About that I have been working on a huge project, am dropping this month titled “Tete La” , it was produced by Olumix, so expect something huge this time.
