KENYA: Visita Drops New Track With New Upcoming Artiste Scar
19 July 2017
Nixon Wesonga, popularly known as Visita is a Kenyan musician, rapper and producer who recently dropped a track dubbed Utamu with Kenya’s beautiful fast rising artiste Scar.
He says that his name Visita comes from the number 6, which he claims is his lucky number as he was born in June and won an award in 2006.
Before leaving grandpa records some time last year, Visita was the label’s ‘second in command’ after CEO and founder Yusuf Noah aka Refigah. He says that he felt oppressed while at the Refigah-owned stable even though he had no plan B.
Grandpa Records opened doors for him and gave him the chance to compose beats for Kamua Leo, Chapa (Fimbo ya Pili), Dumbala remix, Vile Kunaendaga, Chali Stingy… the list is endless.
Before then, he had worked with Goldbase Records before joining Jomino Records where he recorded his song Wanitesa and left in 2006 after being there for 3 years.
He has worked with a couple of great Kenyan artistes including Kenrazy and Sosuun, who he worked with in the collabo dubbed Amani.
Other songs he has done include Elewa Lewa, Mapepo, Asubuhi, Hivo Ndio Kunaendanga, Chali Stinji and many more.
His latest track is a collabo with the gorgeous talented songstress Scar, and it is one amazing song. Let”s just say that like most of Visita’s previous tracks, it is one club banger.
The new song Utamu was written by Visita himself, Piano bu Sidney Simila, Guitar by Mbala Eric, Video by Ricky Bekko while it was produced by Big Dreams Studios.
Listen to the song below. Is it a hit or a miss?
