IT'S JOSH BUXTON!! ONLY MUSOGA IN THE TUMA AWARDS.

Busoga’s teenage artiste, Josh Buxton, has made history by being the only one from the Busoga sub-region to make it to the eastern region category of the just-unveiled Uganda Music Awards- (TUMA) and as the youngest nominee in the awards. Josh Buxton, real names Mwesigwa Joshua , 22 years old born in Bwalua village, Nankoma Sub-county in Bugiri District, but now studying in Kampala International Universitymade it to the nomination list in the Best Eastern Regional Artiste Of The Year category amid stiff competition . Also nominated in the category are Candyman, Isaiah Destiny and Mr. OJ from Mbale and Soroti Districts among others. The Uganda Music Awards (TUMA) are national awards that replaced the PAM Awards that collapsed way back. They recognize performing and recording artistes, producers and instrumentalists across the nation and Ugandan citizens living in the Diaspora that have made exceptional and outstanding music presence vis-à-vis performance and production in this musical year. The awards were launched at…..and have various categories in which artistes like Sheeba, Wilson Bugembe, Winnie Nwagi, Chameleone, Ziza Bafana, etc have been nominated. Josh Buxton, a fast-rising star in Busoga sub-region whose energy, passion and zealous purpose/aspirations in the music industry captured the TUMA Awards officials’ nod hence the nomination, has sang songs like Akalimo, Nenda-Baba-Iwe (which he sang with Mowzey Radio of Goodlyf crew) and the newest By-The-Way, all songs that call upon society to adopt positive activities for a better community. Speaking to journalists at his home in Bugiri, Josh Buxton, visibly excited, asked his fans and all people in Busoga and those who wish Obwakyabazinga well to vote him by sending his code i3 to 8384 using phone SMS as many times as possible.
