UGANDA: Top 5 Hottest Deejays in Uganda

Gone are the days when deejaying was a career for school drop outs and people who have failed in life. 

Currently, Uganda entertainment industry has embraced the profession and deejays are earning handsomely,  about 200-500k  per gig while resident deejays at night clubs earn not less than 600k per month.

 Here is the list of some of the incredible and outstanding DJs.

Dj Shiru 

Does he even need an introduction anymore? We have all grown up listening to mix tapes by the legendary and self-proclaimed spin master Dj Shiru. He has kept steady progress and relevancy in the deejaying game. He has won several local awards and done numerous hit songs to his name like lighter featuring A pass, Dance Well ft Patoranking, ladies night ft All stars, Party time among many others. He plays at Club Amnesia every Tuesday, Laftaz lounge, Ambiance, Nyondo, Lido Beach, club one among many others.

Dj Aludah.

Sir Aludah is a motor-mouthed deejay and a product of pilsner lager spin master competition currently working with Radiocity.

He has worked his name up with no doubt and represented Uganda across the continent to Big brother stage. Sir Aludah also plays at Fame lounge in Kololo plus Nexus.

Deejay Roja and Slick Stuart 

Kitaka Rogers commonly known as Dj Roja and Slick Stuart are the boys of the moment and when you mention deejaying they are a household name at the moment.

Dj Roger holds a diploma in Air conditioning while Slick is a MUK graduate in IT. They began solo careers, however, decided to team up and since then the duo has held two successful mixtape shows at Laftaz poolside. The duo also has 3 songs to their name that's to says EVA by Ykee Benda, Attention by Nair ALI and Work by Nutty Naithan. Dj Roja and Slick Stuart play at Cayenne, Legends, Tavern, Spacebar and lounge, Club One Mukono among many others.

Selector Jay

He is very popular because he plays at the most watched weekly show NTV the Beat hosted by Douglas Lwanga and doubles as a resident Dj at Industrial area based Club Guvnor.

Selector Jay plays at Lido beach, Gabiro, club pals in Nkumba among others.

 Dj Nimrod

Mention about Galaxy Fm and the name Neemrod will pop up.  He is yet another trending deejay in Kampala. kindly forget about his bonking games. 

This chubby deejay is 'MATURE IN DJ GAME' In the early 2000s he played at Capital pub in Kabalagala until recently when Club Amnesia and Galaxy FM boss called him for a job at the radio station and at plaza building based Club Amnesia.

Five years now of playing at both places his name can't go unnoticed when we speak of DJs.
