Africa unite Africa unite Africa unite Africa unite
Rooting out individualism and greed, religious, clan, gender and ethnic chauvinism and other sources of conflict to turn our continent into a zone of economic, political and cultural prosperity, peace and stability. Pan-African citizenship is an obligation to self, others, state and Africa. We learn to give up for the benefit of others and for nationhood to thrive and moving towards that national oneness that our fore parents fought the imperialists. Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance be the forces that anchor the advancement of the continent. We learn to balance ethnic consciousness and national patriotism and choose the path of progressive politics and inclusive development paradigm and rise to embrace civic rather than native politics. We develop a cohesive society and redesign our reconciliation programs where conflict is present. A third of our revenues cannot be accounted for every year and ministries are notorious for dubious and opaque procurement processes and barely get exposed. The elite irresponsible use of public funds take the economies to its knees and they hide the money in overseas bank accounts The legal institutions should not derail in persecuting graft perpetrators to eliminate this major problem hindering us from moving forward, if those institutions are also not affected by the same . Cash crop brokers keep their prices low to increase their profit margins despite it fetching premium prices on international markets controlled by local and international cartels that are part of the elite while the farmer continues to wallow in poverty. Monopolies continue to steal from citizens. Consumer exploitation is rampant. The youth have been initiated into the system of greed. They now do not mind amassing wealth through dishonest means. Most of their developments funds are embezzled by the elite as lotto corporate dip them in the addictive pool of gambling. Conmen stealing from them from both sides taking advantage of young minds who should be taking us from imitation to genuine innovation. Their minds have been gripped limiting their thought pattern and end up engaging in evils. The media coverage should be more conflict resolving and not agents of promoting disputes. African unity is essential. Political unification is a prerequisite for the African Renaissance. A union that is formed gradually. It is through this entity that development and cooperation can be inserted. This would also help in debt relief a major problem we are facing right now. The inverse leads to the type of results we have witnessed over the years. The colonial idea of tribe by boundaries was racist and froze cultural development and historical processes whereby dynamic ground interactions had produced new cultural differentiationAfrica unite Africa unite Africa unite
Let’s strive with all our strength for the path of true brotherhood and unity and eliminating selfishness and petty rivalries for successful building of the continent. Why should we fight along ethnic lines to secure the comforts of politicians who lack National days should imbue us and remind us on the importance of patriots and patriotism, unity and strength in diversity. We begin by making decisions that do not reflect narrow ethnicism and campaign for policies. credible agendas for the people and country’s development? Youth radicalization in terror groups is a major contributor to violence and conflict due to unemployment and lack of mentorship. Graft elimination should start with you, by not giving out and receiving bribes and having the resentment towards it. We know our potential we’ve seen the great civilizations of Egypt, Kush and Timbuktu. The African Renaissance is upon us. We project both in the past and the future. Those who do not know their history destroy themselves. It is important to learn to know why Vasco Da Gama came to the coast and other histories. This shows the initial encounters with the west and scramble and partition are the climax of such expeditions. History gives us identity. ,enslavement and can contribute in the attainment of the African destiny of rebirth [AR].Look around all the prophets have been silenced. The education system is pegged on foreign models .The current education system does not train revolutionaries, problem- solving individuals, critical thinkers and innovators instead of being a natural equalizer in terms of social cohesion has become the divider. If it is producing elite of suspect quality for the integration project we need to change it. The young need to have the noble determination to know the African greats and role models they can emulate. The curricula should draw inspiration from our cultures and philosophy. We expose our children to African classics at a tender age to bring a positive influence in their thinking and creativity instead of cramming textbooks. Why graduate with knowledge that is opposite to our development needs? We train engineers but we call foreigners to build our roads why is that? There is no universal solution to development challenges, we need to understand our context and engage in discourses on solutions that result in fundamental change. The dominant paradigm of economic growth is not the basis of all development. Development that speaks to the aspirations of the people. Development is not following the steps of the west. Euro centrism is not development. Being different is not underdevelopment. Let us develop our talents to the highest level under the umbrella of a value based, Enkai-driven ,science-led mechanism to restore the continental pride where sharing and harmony are the order of the day; where cooperation rather than competition is our everyday life and where the brotherhood of humanity is not merely a POLITICAL SLOGAN but it is a living a practical way of conducting the business of livelihood. Discourses of peace and non-violence, progress, poverty, divisions in society, social ills and a visionary leadership to be conducted regularly .Africa is one continent, one people and one nation as he said Kwame Nkurumah.
