Who is Pace?
Ian Gituku, popularly known as Pace is a Kenyan singer and songwriter. The music star discovered his passion for music at a very early age. Among the first musical instruments that he familiarised himself with was the piano which he used to play at his primary school. He advanced his skills in music and other instruments in secondary school.

Pace ventured into music as a solo artist under the management of Studio 15. He, later on, joined J.M.E Records where he released his official debut track dubbed ‘Go Bananas’ around 2010. The singer was passionate about being an all-around artist. He consequently took some time off to study music production from Duboiz who was a well-respected music producer at the time. The two became extremely close friends and collaborated on a lot of projects. One of their songs that earned the recognition of various stakeholders in the music industry was ‘Party Pale’.

Pace continued to develop his career and climb up the charts on the Kenyan music scene. His brand grew and as a result, he needed a manager who would help him maximize his talent and potential. This is where his first manager Lewisko came in. The new changes in his music circle saw him decorate headlines and blogs in 2013. He earned a good number of interviews with top media stations. This pushed his music more and popularised his brand as an artist.

The songster cemented his rise to stardom with the viral ‘Twende Safari’ song in 2014. The song was about letting loose and taking some time off to go on a road trip to enjoy oneself. The audio of the song won over the hearts of many and topped various music charts. Approximately six months after releasing the audio, Pace released the music video of the track.
