KENYA: Sauti Sol Set for Odd Collabo With Mugithi Legend Mike Rua

It’s been the year of big collabos for Sauti Sol, from Nigeria’s 2Baba a.k.a 2 Face Idibia, Tanzania’s Alikiba and now the Afropop quartet is working on what could be yet another big collaboration albeit an odd one.

Speaking to entertainment website Tuko, Muguthi folk hero Mike Rua revealed that plans were underway to facilitate a collaboration with Sauti Sol and knowing the band this could be one opportunity they would not even think of turning down.

“I wanted it to be a surprise, but since you have squeezed the story out of me, we are working on a collabo. We hope to merge the two genres. We want urban and Mugithi to mash,” revealed Mike Rua.

“We want to put out something interesting, something fans will appreciate. So we are planning to use some words in there that will get guys really excited,” he said.
