KENYA: Khaligraph Promises to Drop the Best Album in Kenyan Hiphop History, Testimony 1990

Despite garnering a reputation as one of the top rappers in Kenya, Khaligraph Jones has yet to release his first studio album.

But that is about to change, at least going by what the Chizi hit maker wrote to his fans on social media yesterday.

Khaligraph who says had already recorded up to 15 songs for his first album which he’s named Testimony 1990. However when he went to Freddie Gibbs, he was forced to start a fresh.

Freddie Gibbs is an American rapper that came up in the early 2000s, signed to Interscope Records in 2006 before he was dropped.

Freddie Gibbs has worked with some of the top rappers in America including, Young Jeezy, Juicy J, Big K.R.I.T., Jadakiss, Krayzie Bone among others.

And going by Khaligraph’s post, he’s also had a major role in the rappers first studio album.

“His Name is Freddie Gibbs and He is The Reason For the Delay of My 1st Debut Album Release, After Being Introduced to his Music Not more Than 2 months Ago By @africancastro, All the 15 songs That I had recorded For the Album Went to the trash and I had to Start Writing all over again, am almost done with the recording of the songs (15 songs) that I believe will Make This Album a Classic and The Best Album In Kenyan HipHop History, Ladies and Gentlemen watch out for most Anticipated Album in Kenya right now Titled "#Testimony1990" dropping Very Soon, watch This Space....” Khaligraph wrote.

Going by the quality that Khaligraph Jones has already produced and the people behind his album, it would be hard to deny that indeed Testimony 1990 will be among the most historic Hiphop albums to come out of Kenya.
