UGANDA: Maurice Kirya, Lupita Nyong’o & David Oyelowo To Feature In Disney Film - The Queen Of Katwe

The Queen Of Katwe is one of Disney’s releases of 2016, about Ugandan chess prodigy Phiona Mutesi, who rose from Kampala’s slums to international chess stardom.
The movie is to be shoot in Uagnda and South Africa and will be released in April and will star Lupita Nyong’o and David Oyelowo (that black agent in Spooks) – and also feature Madina Nalwanga playing Phiona Mutesi, Ntare Mwine, and our own King Of Mwooyo Maurice Kirya.
Yes you heard me right, Disney is going to feature a movie about Uganda and it’s not about “Dictator” Amin, not even our war forsaken political past. A few months to come Uganda will be portrayed as a home to a chess prodigy Phionah Mutesi. This is best thing that has happened to Uganda since the visit of the pope last year.
Imagine Maurice Kirya who will be acting alongside Lupita Nyong’o winning the an Oscar in 2017 for this, before Titanic star Leonardo Decaprio that’s if The Revenant does not come through for him this time around. Now stop imagining, Keep calm and wait for The Queen Of Katwe coming to cinemas this April.
