10 December 2015
Born Nankoma Sandra, Sandy Soul is a Ugandan singer song writer born and raised in Mukono District. Her musical talent can be traced back to her infancy when she started singing in Kindergarten. However it is not until 2009 that she started to sing professionally producing her first audio single called SUPERSTAR which considerably expanded her fanbase.
She has had the previlage to feature on some of Uganda's top television shows such as Jazz with Isaah Katumwa on NTV, Mission 3:16 on NBS and Record TV's Katogo. She has performed at different platforms like Laba Arts Festivals, Bayimba Festival Pearl Rhythm Festival to mention but a few.
In her song Sandy Soul is concerned by the growing numbers of young women in Uganda who depend on rich men to live their lives, are not independent or earning a living and get used to being spoiled by their spouses. High maintenance women, and the consequences of them not being on the job market or not being able to pick up their own life, particularly when things go wrong.
