Wahu and Rufftone Score Big In New Endorsement Deal

Musicians Wahu Kagwi and Rufftone have secured a government gig to champion Technical and Vocational Training agenda among the youth.

The two will be tasked with reaching out to youth and promote the face of the institutions commonly seen as ‘uncool’.

The deal was revealed today by education cabinet secretary Amina Mohamed.

However, finer details of the deal on what they will get in return and the period in which they will remain faces of the institutions still remains scanty.

The move to bring them on board is part of the government plan to revamp the institutions and make them more appealing to students who do not make it to university.

Wahu, a University of Nairobi graduate with in mathematics degree said most youths remain inept due to lack of any skills.

The two have appealed to youths and students who have completed their secondary school to embrace the opportunities presented by the institutions.

On his part Rufftone whose real name is Roy Smith Mwatia and a graphic designer by training remarked that the move to revamp the institutions could help thousands of students to finally earn a living.
