KENYA: Khaligraph, Mayonde and Jalang’o Sign A Big Deal

Kenyan musicians and personalities are getting paid. Khaligraph Jones, Mayonde and Jalang’o have just signed a mega deal that will see them get paid.

Khaligraph Jones bagged in 2009 the Channel O Emcee Africa Champion, in 2014 was named Kenyan Music Ambassador. Khaligaph is the Face Of Kenyan HipHop.

Mayonde has been involved in projects such as Out of Africa- the Magic of Kenya, a musical theatre show that toured in Europe in 2012 and the Master Peace International Concert Amsterdam 2014 as a featured artist. She is also an actress and has a passion for the guitar but mostly uses it for songwriting rather than stage performances.

Jalang’o is now taking Kenyan comedy to higher heights by promoting and helping the new comedians grow their talent and availing platforms for them. He is also promoting Kona comedy.

KICC Chief Executive Officer Nana Gechaga has appointed Khaligraph Jones, Jalang’o and Mayonde as KICC ambassadors. The CEO has also launched Mini-Art Gallery where more than 200 local artists are to exhibit and sell their art for free.

Mini-Art Gallery’s move is to promote and support the art industry in Kenya. Mayonde and Khaligraph are set to release a song for celebrating KICC which is turning 45 years. Well kudos to Khaligraph, Mayonde and Jalang’o.
