Who is Password?
Popularly known as Password, Patrick Mathias, is a celebrated Nigerian music producer, singer and songwriter. Password is best famously known for participating in writing the hit song "Gobe" with Davido, which went viral and got to number 1 on MTV Base's Naija Top Ten Charts.
Before fame Password contested in MTN's Song Star contest with Don Jazzy and he emerged the winner of the show. Since then, he has made tremendous strides by making a name for himself in the Nigerian movie and music industry as a songwriter and producer. In his career, he has worked with several popular music stars and international artists whose music has been rated as hit songs within his country and internationally.
He also served as the partnership's Creative Director for Ultima Productions/960 Music, which was established to support, market, distribute, and promote the MTN Project Fame Winners. His musical diversity and dynamism were influenced by many different genres of music, including hip hop, R&B, country, African folk, reggae, and dancehall.
To him, music is spiritual, and every sound reveals something that words alone cannot communicate if you listen carefully enough. It was his devoted companion and helped him escape some bad childhood memories. He is careful about everything he signs, as his receptivity to the Holy Spirit influences what he produces and makes him know that he has been entrusted with much more, especially for the future generation.
This is but a show of reverence for the gospel and a chance for his personal relationship with his creator. Password has been keen to show his prowess in the music scene but with his firm conviction to his own spiritual nourishment.
