Who is Adeyinka Alaseyori?

Adeyinka Alaseyori is popular for her intense preaching through praise and worship songs. Her official name is Adeyinka Akinyemi, she, however, earned the name Alaseyori from her debut album. Apart from singing and ministry, she is an accountant by profession.
She studied at Lagos State Polytechnic and the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). She has a special approach to music. She uses it as a mode of preaching and passing Christian teachings to her fans. She shares new videos on her social media platforms where she collaborates with other preachers in praise and worship.

Most of her songs are in Yoruba language while others are in English. Despite the use of a Nigerian ethnic language, she has accrued fans all over the continent.

How did she start her music career?

Her music career officially started around 2012 when she released ‘Alaseyori Mi’ and ‘Ojo Nla’. Her style of music saw many fall in love with her songs and style of preaching. Over the years she has managed to widen her fan base and become one of the most respected musicians in Nigeria.

In 2021, she became the centre of an online debate after her fellow Nigerian gospel artist Tope Alapi criticised her over the song ‘Oniduro Mi’. Tope Alapi did not agree with Adeyinka’s reference to God as ‘Oniduro’. Majority of Nigerian netizens, nonetheless, sided with Adeyinka Alaseyori. In the same year, the singer attracted the attention of many when a video showing her dancing in church went viral online. The short clip won the hearts of many who fell in love with her passion for gospel music.
