Celebrated Ugandan dancehall artist Ziza Bafana has released a new gospel song dubbed 'Mukama Webale’.

In 'Mukama Webale' (translated from Luganda to mean 'Thank You God'), Ziza Bafana thanks God for the place he is at in his life.

He says every night he gets to lay down in his bed, he reflects upon his life and notices that he has all the reasons to be thankful to God for everything by keeping his head high, protecting his energy and staying spiritually tuned.

"If you look through the seasons of tears, sadness, storms hitting you down, and you are stumbling, diseases scotching you, times of hunger that we previously faced in the lockdown, look at the poverty that hit us, so many lost hope, we mourn so much. But best of all that the Almighty God has been faithful to us, let us give thanks," Ziza Bafana posted.

The audio was produced by Eddy Dee and the visuals directed in church were shot by Jah Live.

The gospel jam comes as a surprise to many as Ziza Bafana is known for fast-paced secular  dancehall jams.
