Renowned Ghanaian musician Derrick Osei Kuffor Prempeh professionally known by his stage name Kofi Jamar has disclosed how his hit song ‘Ekorso’ featuring other Kumerican artistes, Yaw Tog and YPee, brought positive change to his life.

Speaking In an interview with Kojo Manuel on Y 107.9 FM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe Show, he said, “I had a dream of being big here in Ghana and beyond and ‘Ekorso’ just surpassed that dream for me. It wasn’t just here it was everywhere.” 

He further said that ‘Ekorso’ has made many people from Ghana and other parts of the world start recognizing him. He went on to disclose that the video to his hit song was shot in hometown Bantama inside Kumasi.

Currently, Kofi Jamar is working to promote his recently released 6 track debut E.P titled ‘Appetite for distraction’. He explained that the EP is expected to break the ice and inform his fans that there is much more from where ‘Ekorso’ came from.

“After Ekorso, I got a lot of people discovering me so I felt it was time to break the ice because around that time, people associated me with that Kumerican brand and that drill, hard Hip-hop genre. This EP is just to break the ice and let them know there’s a lot more to me and to prove how far I can go with my music and versatility,” he stated.
