Levixone Vs Exodus: Who is the King of Ugandan Gospel Music?

Exodus and Levixone are arguably the top gospel artists of our generation. Although the media has fueled beef between them, they continue to stand and support each other as brothers. Speaking during an interview with NBS Uncut, Exodus noted that he can do anything for Levixone in appreciation for all the love and support he gave him when he was at the lowest point of his career. Earlier this year, they worked on a collaboration dubbed 'Give Me Love' shutting down the beef rumors.

Experience
Levixone got his major breakthrough in 2013 with his hit single ‘Nonya Omu’. Ever since, he has never turned back. He is currently considered one of the best Ugandan gospel artists.

Exodus' music career started in 2004 as a singer in Pastor Kayanja’s church choir. Together with Isaac Rucibigango (Rucci), Bahati Nsereko and Kenneth Tusubira, they formed the Sauti band. In 2008, he released his biggest song ‘Ganjaman’ that took Uganda by storm. Today, he owns his Label, G.E.A.R Music Empire which consists of Inspirational artistes.

Awards
Levixone has won several awards that include; Kenya’s Extreem awards, Maranatha awards, Rhema Awards 2021, VET Awards among others.

Exodus has also won a number of awards that include; Groove Awards, Buzz Teeniez Awards and Olive Gospel Music Awards among others.

Albums
Levixone has one album 'Kosovo Boy' released in 2019 with songs like Ani, More Blessings, Niwewe among others. He also has a 2020 compilation titled 'Chikibombe' with songs like Turn The Replay and Esaala. He is currently working on a new album that is set to feature some of the top artists in the industry.

On his part, Exodus is yet to reduce an album. Last year (2020), he indicated that he was working on an album which he’ll release when the time is right.

YouTube Viewership and Subscribers

Levixone's YouTube channel was launched on 28th August, 2012 and currently has 44K subscribers. He has a cumulative viewership of 6,324,820

Exodus launched his channel on 20th August, 2013 and currently has 2.49K subscribers and a cumulative viewership of 204,647.

Social Media Followers
Levixone has 151K followers on Instagram and 281K on Facebook. On his part, Exodus has 80K followers on Facebook and 61.4K on Instagram.

International Collaborations
Levixone has worked with Malawian singer Wendy Harawa on ‘Zikomo', Zambia's Kings on 'Turn Around' and Rwanda's Beza Deborah on 'Celebrate' among others.

Exodus does not have international collaborations but has toured different countries for performances.

Life outside Music
Levixone partnered with Trinity to start up a charity organization dubbed '92-Hands'. The organization provides education, shelter, food and other skills to children from the ghetto.

 In 2020, due to the Pandemic – Exodus and his team decided to start a Foundation dubbed Dream Exodus Foundation that concentrates on supporting low income earners, drug addicts and street kids.
