Sauti Sol’s UK Summer Tour Postponed

Celebrated Kenyan music group Sauti Sol has postponed its UK Residency tour which was meant to kick off on 8th September 2021.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news to their UK fans, Sauti Sol explained that the postponement was due to visa delays and the Covid-19 restrictions, adding that all the purchased tickets would remain valid for the new dates set in October.

“We regret to inform you that due to visa delays and the Covid-19 restrictions, our UK residency has been rescheduled to October 2021. All tickets remain valid and we look forward to seeing you all very soon,” Sauti Sol posted.

Reacting to the news, fans expressed sadness in their Instagram comment section, with many promising to continue waiting patiently in order to meet them on the new dates that have been set.

“I am on the verge of tears, I was ready for Rhumba Japani but we shall wait for you patiently. Much love,” one fan replied, with another one adding, “Kwa nini??? Looking forward to the new dates, we have some singing to do!”

Apart from the fans, renowned Kenyan artist Muthoni the Drummer Queen, also dropped by with a word of encouragement, urging the group not to worry about the delay because the most important thing was that they would eventually get to enjoy the experience with their fans.

“Best of luck with getting to the UK! It's going to be so good! Don't worry about the delay at all. The positive part is you x the fans get to have the experience,” she posted.

Apart from sharing the news, Sauti Sol also uploaded an official poster with the new locations and dates including; Jazz Cafe on 3rd, 4th, and 5th October, Laylow on 10th October and Blues Kitchen Manchester on 17th October.
