Well, one person has, and that is our very own celebrated Kenyan artist Nadia Mukami. Apart from having a melodic soulful voice, Nadia is also a budding entrepreneur who is the CEO of her own recording company dubbed Sevens Creative Hub Recording Studio.

Nadia recently shared her entrepreneurship story on how she was able to build her recording studio from her Servants Quarter (SQ) with just two employees to currently having over ten employees on payroll.

Reminiscing on her entrepreneurship journey, Nadia explained that it took them six months to get their first client who paid them three thousand Kenyan shillings only.

“Imagine Sevens Creative Hub started at my SQ in my home as a small office had two employees only and it reached a place where we started having consultations. It took like 6 months before we had our first client and alilipa 3k I was so happy!”she reminisced.

Nadia also opened up on how she has been able to finance her business, citing that she got half a million Kenyan shillings deal which she topped with her own savings to set up her business.

“I used to watch a lot of Vusi from SA (If you are in finance or Business oriented you definitely know Vusi). Long story short, I got a sh.500,000 deal and topped it up with some savings. Got an office, bought equipment and laid structures! Now I have over 10 employees on payroll and our first major campaign starts this September which has all your favorite celebrities! Glory be to God. We are growing ,”she expounded.

Unfortunately, there is no entrepreneurship story without challenges, and Nadia has had her fair share of challenges. Sharing on how she was able to overcome them, Nadia cited that she took time to understand her vision and lay out systems and structures that would ensure the success of her business before she went public.

“I did a lot of courses and studied marketing a lot! I failed a lot before we came out publicly and I wanted to make sure I understood the vision and laid systems and structures well!” she added.
