Ugandan artist Tip Swizzy has slammed veteran musician Eddy Kenzo, accusing him of being “selfish”. Tip Swizzy got his big breakthrough after his hit song 'Bolingo', after which he was contacted by Eddy Kenzo to do a remix of the jam, and was thereafter signed to Kenzo’s Big Talent label.

Speaking during a recent interview, Tip Swizzy claimed that Eddy Kenzo has never credited him for his talent, but took advantage of the fact that he was a big artist and rode on his wave.

"I did my song alone and Kenzo reached out to me asking to work with me. I took my time to give him a reply. I don't do things because people have helped me, but I do my music for people to join me," he said.

"…I have my confidence and a back story that people don't know. They think Kenzo got me from the streets and helped me. He didn't get me where I was but called my phone and even sent his friends to convince me for a remix. We worked together not because I was big but because I was talented. I deserve some respect for my creativity," he added.

Swizzy claimed that he was more creative than Kenzo and accused the latter of taking his credit. He has challenged Eddy Kenzo to call a press conference and tell the truth about his dismissal from the label.

"If he was a good man, he would have explained what happened. He is not a good person because he can never reveal what transpired before journalists," Swizzy said.
