Tiwa Savage Hosts Listening Party for Her Upcoming EP ‘Water and Garri’

It is an open secret that Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress Tiwa Savage will soon be unveiling her new project dubbed ‘Water and Garri’. Tiwa Savage has been popularizing the new project as she builds anticipation for her fans ahead of the official release.

The 41-year-old multiple award-winning singer recently held an exclusive listening party for the EP and many of those that attended left very impressed. 

In a series of posts on Tiwa Savages’ Insta story she shared reactions from attendees of the listening party, many of who said it was ‘fire’.

One of those who attended the event said the EP will shake the world, while another one praised Tiwa Savage’s genre versatility, describing the project as a musical buffet that fuses Soul, Afro, Trap, and Alt. Mavin Records wordsmith Ladipoe also attended the listening party and he was all praises for the project.

“I had a lot of love and PAIN in Tiwa’s new project. Plus amazing, amazing production. I’m excited for her. She’s crafted something really beautiful,” said Ladipoe in a post shared by Tiwa Savage.

The EP is expected to be released anytime soon. It will be a follow-up to the ‘Celia’ album that she released on August 27, 2021.

Officially known as Tiwatope Savage, Tiwa Savage who was born in Isale Eko, relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. She came back to Nigeria to pursue her music career after a brief stint in the UK. She was one of the contestants on the UK's talent TV show, X-Factor in 2006. 

She kickstarted her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige.
