Navio, Cindy and Joanitah Kawalya Named 2021 Pearl of Africa Star Search Judges

Ugandan artists Cindy Sanyu, Navio and Joanitah Kawalya have been named judges in the Pearl of Africa (POA) Star Search; a campaign that is set to identify and promote Uganda’s young music talent.

This competition is aimed at offering fresh Ugandan talent an opportunity to showcase and develop their talent on a national platform.

The star search is slated for 9th April and will run until July 2021. The search focuses on promoting musical talent all over the country.

It is aimed at cultural development, national pride and exposing the beauty of the Pearl of Africa, Uganda.

To take part in the search, participants are expected to send a one minute video singing a song of their choice and tell the judges why they should be chosen as the next big star.

The winner will also be named Uganda's Tourism Ambassador. All the artists are already promoting the search on their social media pages, rallying fans to participate.

"POA Star will be the biggest Star search to date. We are looking for the greatest representative for Ugandan Talent," Navio shared on his Instagram page.

The reality TV show will be broadcasted on local stations and online via the POA Star social media platforms.
