Celebrated Ugandan music producer Zulitums has opened up on his music journey, noting that he always wanted to be a musician, but opted to be a producer due to lack of funds to pay studio fees.

"I started singing long before I even produced but I chose the latter because I was too broke to invest in music and I never had anyone inject cash in me," he said.

According to Zulitums, he had to wait until April 2020 when one of his clients who hired him to do music production, noticed that he was a very good artist and decided to work with him musically.

Addressing his chances of succeeding in the competitive Ugandan music industry, Zulitums told Spark TV that he is not in a competition with anyone, insisting that he focus is on his projects.

"For starters, competition is very good but I want to assure them that I'm not here to compete with anyone. I'm here to be myself and anyone who thinks otherwise is just bad hearted. I have been in the audio production business for close to 8 years meaning I can do this myself," Zulitums said.
