Bruce Melodie was born in Kicukiro District, Rwanda 27 years ago where he grew up and schooled. He is the second born in a family of four.

How did Bruce Melodie start his music career?

Bruce traces his musical journey back to his teenage years. He was an ardent choir boy in his local church. He credits his late mother for encouraging him to be part of the church choir where he felt deeply that he was fulfilling his musical desire. Before long, he decided to go professional and in 2010, he released ‘Tubivemo’ which was one of him most popular songs in the then ‘Ndumiwe’ album which he released in 2013. He managed to get footing in the industry, albeit weakly but he did not give up. 2013 was a critical year for him as it is the period he struggled to go mainstream.

In 2014, he had become a celebrity and with his status, he had to keep up with the pressure of more and better music which is when he released ‘Ntudize’ album under Super Level Music Label. Since then, he has collaborated with big artistes from Uganda, Kenya among others. He has done a collabo with Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones, Uganda’s Sheebah Jay-C among other. Over the last couple of years, his music has become very popular with most of his releases getting over a million views on YouTube besides the huge airplay they get on media outlets in Rwanda and East Africa.
