How did Gloria Muliro start his music career?

Gloria started singing back in 1997 when she was in High School.  In an interview with Nation, she divulged that she ventured into singing after she got saved. “…Way back in 1997, when I was in Form Two at St Theresa Girls I got saved and I used to sing a lot in Praise and Worship. I never thought that it would bring me this far. I joined several singing groups and it was through them that I gained more confidence in my singing,” she said.

She dropped her first song ‘Mwami Aletsa’ in 2005, and later dropped her debut album ‘Mwami Aletsa’ the same year. The album did well in Western Kenya as most vernacular stations played her songs which were mostly in her native Luhya language.

Despite her first album not performing very well, she did not give up. Gloria continued singing, with her major breakthrough coming in 2010 when she dropped her second album ‘Ombi Langu’ which had one of her biggest songs ‘Sitolia’ featuring Willy Paul.

Since then, she has been releasing hit after hit and has worked with several top artists including; Kambua, Size 8, Pitson, Ruth Matete among others.
