WCB singer Zuchu has explained why the team has changed its tact in releasing new music.

Currently, all Wasafi members have released new projects at once. Zuchu is currently flying with her ‘Hasara’ single, Mbosso recently dropped ‘Fall’, Lava Lava released the ‘Ipekeche’ single while Diamond Platnumz has a collabo with Lingala maestro Kofi Olomide dubbed ‘Waah’.

Speaking during a recent interview, Zuchu dismissed rumors that such a tact was creating unhealthy competition among WCB musicians.

She noted that the label aims to ensure that the masses are fed with WCB content throughout.

They look at it as a team approach rather than an individual one.

"Kila msani ana wakati wake wa kuachilia muziki kwa sabau kila msani ana msimamizi wake tofauti...hakuna mtu anaye pangiwa ratiba...sisi tunachotaka kufanya ni kwamba ukiingia mtaani usikose kitu kutoka WCB...usipokipenda cha Mbosso uatakipenda cha Zuchu...either way tunataka tuwe katika masikio ya watu,” said Zuchu.

This comes as the team embarks on a countrywide tour in replacement of the annual Wasafi festival.

Zuchu revealed that she decided to cancel all shows to put more focus on the tour as it is a perfect marketing platform. The tour is sponsored by Wasafi Media.
