Marioo Ranks Aslay Third Best Bongo Artist after Diamond and Alikiba

Celebrated Tanzanian musician Marioo has elicited a debate online after he crowned Aslay as “King of Bongo music.”
According to the ‘Unanikosha’ hit maker, Aslay ranks third after legendary artists; Diamond Platnumz and Alikiba.
Taking to his Instagram, Marioo posted a photo of Aslay and captioned it saying: “Naweza ikawa jamii inakupa heshima na ukubwa ila mimi nadhani unastahili zaidi @aslayisihaka Kikitoka kizazi cha kina kiba na simba wewe ndo mfalme #Respect.”

Some fans have interpreted this as a sign that the two-Marioo and Aslay could be dropping a new song soon.
Meanwhile, his former Yamoto band mate Enock Bella echoed Marioo’s sentiments hailing Aslay for always playing the big brother role in his music since the band’s fall out.
“Acha leo iwe siku ya heshima kwako Dingi @aslayisihaka Maranyingi huni sisitiza nakunambia Bella imba hata kama watasema nini wewe imba Much respect wewe ndo sababu ya mimi kua hapa leo enjoy your Day” captioned Enock.

Aslay is among the biggest bongo artists at the moment. He started out as a solo musician at the age of 14 years with the song ‘Naenda Kusema’.
He later joined the Mkubwa Felaa label and they formed Yamoto Band before eventually parting ways.
At the moment, it is not clear what Aslay has been up to but fans are hopeful that he will make a great musical comeback.
