A number of Nigerian artists emerged victorious in the 7th edition of the All Africa Muzik Magazine Awards -AFRIMMA that went down on Sunday night - November 15, 2020.

The awards whose theme was 'Destination Africa' was for the first time held virtually because of the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic.

Burna Boy went home with two awards after winning Crossing Boundaries with Music Award and Best Collaboration for the 'Jerusalema Remix' in which he was featured by South Africa's Master KG.

Marvin Records golden boy Rema besat other West Africans artists to win Best Male West Africa category as Simi won the Best Female West Africa Category.

Umu Ibiligbo was named the Best African Group as Flavor scooped the Best Live Act.

The Best Gospel Artist Award was won by Mercy Chinwo famed for 'Excess Love' hit single.

Other Nigerian acts who went home with awards at the 2020 AFRIMMA are: DJ Cuppy (Best DJ Africa), TG Omori (Best Video Director) and Poco Lee who was named the Best African Dancer.

AFRIMMA is arguably the biggest African music award ceremony in diaspora that creates a platform to promote the diversity of African music.
