Why You’ll Still Hear New Music from Daev Despite his Tragic Death in September

When the death of Zambian Hip hop star Daev was announced, grief struck hard because his fans could not imagine not listening to his music anymore.
Going through the comments on his YouTube channel and social media handles, most of the recent posts are from fans who confess that they have been listening to his songs and cannot still believe that he has left to be with the Lord.
“Daev sure that voice is gone no more at least you still blessed us with it. You will live on through our music,” Nchawaka Kanyama said in reference to ‘Mumanja’ a song by Drimz which he featured Daev.

Another one added: “First time I heard this song on the radio on a bus I had goosebumps, I said whose this?I looked for artist and i got hooked on this guy...very unique style...RIP my absolute favourite artist in Zambia..I don't think I’ll love another like you.”
Despite his death two months ago, fans will probably still hear new music from Daev. How you wonder? Yes. Before his death, Daev had been working on several projects among them collaborations and solo projects which his recording label; XYZ Entertainment may release in due course as way to honour his memories.

A classic example is ‘Tiliko’ which was released in October. DJ H-MAC features Daev, Macky 2 and Slap Dee in the song which is approaching half a million views on YouTube a month into its release. XYZ Entertainment has two other hits in the offing either featuring Daev or they are a solo project by the late artiste.
