The long wait for another album from Nigerian superstar Davido is now over as he has officially released the highly anticipated 'A Better Time'.

The 17-track body of work now available on all digital platforms worldwide dropped early on November 13.

In the album, Davido seems to have focused more on his Nigeria and US fan-base, with a majority of featured artists from the two countries.

With his own huge fan-base globally plus those of featured acts who are equally popular global acts, 'A Better Time' promises to be Davido's biggest project so far.

His previous project 'A Good Time', released in 2019 already has over a billion streams across all platforms and it remains to be seen how this new album will perform.

The album houses an already party anthem 'FEM' which turned into a protest anthem during the #EndSARS protests that rocked Nigeria.

A collaboration between Davido and rapper Nick Minaj in the song 'Holy Ground' has also been touted as a potential global hit.

Davido while introducing the new album said it seeks to offer a piece of inspiration and hope amid the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, that there are 'Better Times' ahead.

In a recent interview with Complex, Davido said he had no plans for an album in 2020 but the pandemic changed everything.

"The pandemic had a lot to do with it because I was on tour, which I had to stop. If I was on tour, I’m not sure I would’ve had time to really record but being in Lagos, at home, I was recording and recording so many songs and it ended up being really good. It took about two or three months but when I first started recording it, I had no plan, I just wanted to have fun with it," he said.

In the 'A Better Time' album, Davido has featured top international acts like Chris Brown, Nas, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Sho Madjozi, Ckay, Sauti Sol and Nigerian artists: Tiwa Savage, Bella Shmurda and Mayorkun.
