Chris Kaiga calls out Safaricom for trademark infringement.
The Zimenice hitmaker went to twitter this past Sunday & accused Safaricom for infringing on his intellectual property, in a series of tweets, Chris showed various promotion posters & messages used by the Mobile service provider to market Blaze, the "zimenice zangu zimenice" & "SMS inendee chain chain" have been lifted from his songs, 'zimenice' & 'chain chain' respectively.
The Kenyan laws allow one to trademark a phrase associated with them or used for business by them, if Chris registered these phrases for trademark then Safaricom owe him.
More African artists are becoming aware of Intellectual Property rights & should Kaiga win this case its going to set a precedence in the entertainment industry.
