Daev’s ‘Never Been Easy’ Surpasses One Million Views as Fans Stream it in his Honour

Davis Phiri popularly known as Daev was on his way to massive success in the Zambian musical industry until his sudden demise a fortnight ago.
His musical journey is incredible since he grew consistently from being a little-known artiste with to a renowned musician across the country.
Daev’s death is and will remain a sad story for his fans in Zambia and across the world.
Daev died in a tragic accident along Chirundu–Kafue road at Red Paint area. He was in the company of his three friends in his Toyota Vitz which crashed and caught fire.

To honour his memories, fans across the world streamed his hit single “Never Been Easy” to over one million views on YouTube.
Daev released “Never Been Easy” just before coronavirus pandemic hit Africa. It was a big tune during lock down.
In the song, Daev talked of the power of love which surpasses the human understanding and all hardships in life.
When it premiered on YouTube, he said “In this Video the Power of Love prevails. No matter what obstacles come along the way, their love keeps on going strong. It has not been easy to be in love with you, but no matter what, I will love you still.”
