Tanzanian music producer Mocco Genius is celebrated for his exemplary work when it comes to music production, especially the creation of hit songs.

He is commonly known as the go-to producer for hit songs in Tanzania.

Speaking to Simulizi na Sauti media, Mocco opened up on his music journey noting that he never set foot in a musical production class, and that all he knows is self-taught.

He divulged that when he ventured into the music business he did not have many clients, but grew slowly as his music started penetrating the Tanzanian market.

He is one of the few producers that has worked with both Diamond and Alikiba; who are perceived as bitter rivals in the Bongo music scene.

Explaining his experience working with the two, Mocco Genius noted that he started working with Alikiba and Kings music before he was introduced to the Wasafi crew.

According to him, he’s managed to work with the two artistes well since he has not be given any limitations, and as such focuses solely on his music production work.

He further noted that he favours none of them as they both his clients, adding that at the end of the day his interest is to make good money.

He is the man behind Zuchu’s Cheche hit and has also worked with her on several other songs. In addition to Zuchu, Diamond and Alikiba, MoccoGenius has also worked with Nandy, Mbosso, and Tommy Flavour among others.

Some of the top songs he’s worked on include; rayvanny’s Corona, Alikiba’s Mshumaa, Mbosso’s Ate, Sonana by Susmila featuring Mbosso among others.
