Veteran Mduara Artiste AT Explains Origin of Beef Between Alikiba and Diamond

Over the past few years, the Tanzanian music industry has been dominated by Alikiba and Diamond, but reports indicate that the two do not see eye to eye.
It is not clear how the issue started, but many believe that it is all about supremacy, with both artistes believing that they are the best in the Bongo music industry.
According to Mduara star AT who was a close friend of Alikiba, the said beef between the two artistes is a creation of the media and fans of both artistes.
“…Kitu Kilichokuwepo ni watu waliamua kuwashindanisha, wenyewe hawakua wanashindana, unajua wakati mwingine watu wanajigawa, hii nchi ina wataalamu……yaani watu ndio waliotengeneza hiyoo vugu vugu baadae ikajitengeneza ikawa ni kama ni bifu…,”he said.

Last week, President John Magufuli brough together the two artistes and urged them to reconcile and make Tanzanian music much better.
According to Magufuli, both artistes are young and talented, and as such, they should work together rather than have personal issues with each other.
“…..Ninawashukuru sana wasanii. Kweli nimejiskia raha. Unapomuona Alikiba amekaa pamoja na Diamond Platnumz unaiona nguvu ya chama cha mapinduzi. Lakini unapomuona Harmonize aliyemkimbia Diamond anamsifia hadharani huo ndio u Tanzania ninaoutaka,” Magufuli said.
