Sailors Hit New Milestone, Set to be Awarded by YouTube

Renowned Kenyan gengetone music group Sailors has finally hit 100,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel.

The group famed for hits such as; Wamlambez, Wainame, Queen B and Dunda among others achieved the fete a couple of days after dropping a new video dubbed ‘Weekendy’.

Following the achievement, YouTube is expected to honour the group with a Silver plate that is awarded to content creators who surpass the 100,000 subscribers.

Taking to Instagram, Sailors thanked their fans for supporting and helping them achieve the fete.

Considering that Sailors are young in the industry, their milestone is proof that hard work and consistently producing content loved by the your target audience surely pays.

Before creating their channel, the group used their manager Mwalimu Rachael’s channel to post their songs on YouTube.

Her channel grew rapidly thanks to Sailors’ viral songs, and within no time, Mwalimu Rachael’s channel has surpassed 100,000 subscribers; a fete that saw her receive an award from YouTube.
