A few months ago renowned Ugandan artiste Jose Chameleone announced that he’ll be contesting for the Kampala Lord Mayor seat come the 2021 elections.

His announcement caused mixed reactions among Ugandans considering the controversies surrounding his name.

Among the group that does not support his candidature is Sound Cava Records producer Diggy Baur, who recently claimed that Chameleone assaulted him.

In an interview, Diggy Baur vowed to quit music production if Jose Chameleone wins the election.

"If Jose Chameleone ever wins or becomes the Kampala Lord Mayor after the 2021 general elections, I will quit music production. At least Abdullatif Ssebagala will become the Lord Mayor," Diggy Baur said, also showing off the police file against Jose Chameleone.

Last week, Chameleone was the subject of debate online after producer Diggy Baur accused him of assault and battery.

Baur claimed that the Leone Island boss appeared at his Sound Cava studios in Luwafu on Monday night, and assaulted him.

Through his lawyers Ngobi Ndiko Advocates, Baur is reportedly planning to sue the Leone Island boss for damages amounting to UGX 50 Million.

In addition to the above, Baur has given Chameleone a seven-day ultimatum demanding Chameleone to apologize or face the wrath of the law.
