Ugandan Producers Association Gives Chameleone and Weasel Three-day Ultimatum to Apologise

The Ugandan Music Producers Association has slapped the Mayanja brothers; Jose Chameleone and Weasel Manizzo with a three-day ultimatum for allegedly assaulting members of the association.
Weasel Manizzo is accused of assaulting producer Genius Goddy, destroying his studio equipment, and taking a hard drive that contains other people's music. On his part, Chameleone is accused of assaulting producer Diggy Baur.

In a letter, producer Davi Luutu, the vice chairman of the association, urged the brothers to sit down in a meeting and solve the issues, failure to which, all producers in the country will cease working with them.
"I'm one of the people who endorsed the letter from the producers to our brothers Jose Chameleone and Weasel. Many times we have been getting such cases of our producers being beaten and their studio machines destroyed. So we decided enough is enough and stood up issuing that letter.
"We have given these brothers up to 12th to come and talk to us and we discuss where the problem is coming from because we shall not judge until we listen to both sides of the story. In this letter, we have our terms because as producers, we are one and speak the same language only that most times we do not come out and address such issues. We are always busy but not this time.
"All producers can decide not to work with Chameleone and other artistes that do not have manners . We have a right to do so if they do not settle this. Good thing Chameleone reached out to us after the letter. He called us willing to talk and we are glad. AlthoughWeasel has not reached out. We are still giving Baur some time to cool off so that we settle this issue without anger involved," the producer said.
