Saweetie celebrated her 26th birthday over the weekend and she made sure that she had a gift for her fans. She released her new single, a freestyle titled ‘Pretty Bitch Freestyle’ and also shot a quarantine video for it.
Saweetie took the time, in this single to talk about her journey to where she is at right now. She brushes over her love for fashion, how important it was for her to finish school and her father. Saweetie is also on this single showing off and reminding everybody that it will always be icy season as long as she is around.
The video is shot in true quarantine style. We watch Saweetie rapping through her house. She is very comfortable in her jeans and tee shirts and some hoodies to throw on. She has her face and hair well done to probably make sure that the ‘Pretty Bitch’ title is well backed up.
The single is a sample of another hip-hop song. It also steps away from the usual fast-paced feel good singles that we get from Saweetie which is really special. Saweetie switches the flow regularly and comfortably delivers every line with a calmness that is again very different from what we usually get from Saweetie.
We are definitely excited to watch more of what Saweetie has going on after her birthday musically but in the meantime, catch a vibe with Saweetie on ‘Pretty Bitch Freestyle’.
