Red Eye Claims He Prepared Stonebwoy for the Music Game

Former member of defunct Ghanaian music duo 2Toff America and music producer, Red Eye has revealed that he was the one who prepared multi-award winning Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy for the Ghanaian music game.

Red Eye made this revelation in an interview with Sammy Flex on his “Showbiz Daily” online. According to him, he recorded nine out of 17 songs on Stonebwoy’s debut album, ‘Grade 1’ for free.

“I told him that the only thing I can do for you is to produce you, the whole album. I will pay myself. I will play the beat myself. So, I recorded nine tracks all for free and asked him to go look for help and he took the works to Samini Music,” he said, adding: “I built Stonebwoy up. I prepared him to step in the game. So me, BHIM adey ein back o. Don't joke. I'm proud of everything that is happening.”

Stonebwoy’s Grade 1 album, released in 2012 contained hits like Ghetto Love, Bumper, Climax, Above the Sky and Roots and Culture among others on which he featured the likes of Tinny, Edem, Samini Red Eye himself, Irene Logan and Kaakie.

Stonebwoy, after his official grand entry in 2012 also has the Necessary Evil (2014), Epistles of Mama (2017) and Anloga Junction (2020) albums to his credit. He has also released a good number of singles, graced a lot of local and international stages with his performances and received several local and international nominations and awards.
