Diamond, Mbosso Win Prestigious Awards at 2020 HiPipo Awards

Wasafi records musicians; Diamond Platnumz and Mbosso over the weekend made headlines after bagging prestigious awards at the HiPipo Awards in Uganda.
Diamond received two awards; Tanzania Best Act and East Africa Super Hit thsnks to his voral song ‘The One’.

On the other hand, ‘Tamba’ hit maker Mbosso bagged the African Fans Fresh Favorite Talent.
This was the second time Mbosso won the much coveted award. Shortly after he was announced the winner, Mbosso took to Instagram and thanked his fans for the love.
“Habari njema kwa Mashabiki zangu wote wa ndani na nje ya East Africa.. Kijana wenu nimeshinda tuzo za HiPipo MUSIC AWARDS zinaofanyika nchini ya UGANDA kwa kila Mwaka na hii ni mara ya 2 Sasa nachukua, na Safari hii tumeshinda kwenye Kipengele cha AFRICA FANS FAVORITE FRESH TALENT.. Asanteni Sana kwa Upendo ... UGANDA I Love You So Much," he posted.
Due to the ongoing corona virus pandemic, the award ceremony was held virtually, with a number of artistes performing from their homes.
Ugandan artistes Eddy Kenzo and John Blaq reigned supreme bagging four awards each. Another artiste who won big was Big Trill who bagged two top awards thanks to his viral hit ‘Parte after Parte’.
