3 New Kenyan Music Albums to Look Out for in June

The month of June is set to an amazing one in terms of new music albums, as a number of artistes and music groups have announced plans to release several albums.

Due to the ongoing corona virus pandemic that has led to restriction of movement and ban of public gatherings, musicians cannot hold any concerts, and as such, most of them have been using the time to record new music, with several artistes working on their albums.

Already, a number of artistes including; Mr Seed, King Kaka and Nyashinski have already released new albums, with several other expected later this month.

This article looks at 3 amazing albums you should watch out for this month:

1. Midnight Train – Sauti Sol

Sauti Sol’s new album dubbed ‘Midnight Train is scheduled to drop on June 5, 2020. The album will have 13 songs namely; Intro, Midnight Train, Insecure, Feel my love, Brighter Days, Suzanna, Disco Matanga, Wake Up, Nenda Lote, My Everything, Sober,Rhumba Japani and Set me Free.

Judging by the four releases so far, the album will be lit. Be sure to mark the date on your calendar, to be among the first to listen to it.

2. Big Man Bado Odinare – Ethic

Ethics’s new album dubbed ‘Big Man Bado Odinare’ is expected to premiere on June 13.

According to a tracklist shared by Ethic, the album will have 8 songs, and will feature renowned Kenyan Hiphop musician Khaligraph Jones.

The songs in the upcoming album include; ZigiZaga, Gwara, Staga, Sakata, Profile, Banana, Odinare and Katika.

3. Just in Love – Otile Brown

Kenya’s top RnB musician Otile Brown is set to drop his new album dubbed ‘Just in Love’ on June 3.

The album has 11 songs and features several top artistes from the East African region including; Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Kidum, Juma Jux, and Meddy.

The eleven songs in the album include; Regina, Dede, Hit &Run, Vibe, Leila, Kosea, Umedamshi, Dusuma, Watoto na Pombe, Zaidi Yako and Pretty Girls.
