Simi Drops Long-Awaited Single ‘Duduke’

After a long wait, Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress, Simi has finally released her first single for 2020.
The new song is titled ‘Duduke’.
Simi, officially known as Simisola Ogunleye was to release ‘Duduke’ on March 26th but as the d-day approached she posted on her social media pages saying “I’m sorry – but it doesn’t feel right right now. Soon tho.”
It is not yet clear why she had to postpone the official release. However, the wait is over as ‘Duduke’ is finally out.

#duduke,” Simi posted on Instagram a few days ago.
The official audio was posted on Thursday morning, just as Simi had promised.
‘Duduke’ is a mid-tempo love tune that beautifully blends pop with afro-life beats where Simi opens up to the man she loves.
In one of the lines she says; “Do you know, how much I really need you, I dey wait for the day when I can finally kiss you.”
She goes on to point out in a chorus that; “That’s why my heart dey beat like duduke, du du ke, cos na you I choose….I sing for you on the beat like duduke, du du ke, baby you I go beat for…”
The new song ‘Duduke’ produced by Oscar follows the release of ‘Know You’, another love jam, last week in which Simi was featured by Mavin Records singer Ladipoe.
