Popcaan Releases New Single 'Mamakita'

Popcaan has been on a high since the last half of 2019 and we are not complaining because he has been giving us good music. He over the weekend released his new single ‘Mamakita’ and it is a banger.
‘Mamakita’ is a proper Jamaican dancehall song in the Vybz Kartel sense; it is Popcaan loving on a woman and going on about her body.
We know that Popcaan has been getting collaborations with different artists all over the world and jumping on different genres. This might be influenced by the success both Shaggy and Sean Paul have gotten from being such artists and also might be what many other artists are on about. Popcaan for instance, in this song has used a pretty evident pop addition to the apparent dancehall beat of the song. This makes ‘Mamakita’ pass for different playlists and charts/streams all over the world. The only strong reggae vibe in the song is Popcaan’s patwa.
Over this pop beat produced by TJ, we get to experience all sides of Popcaan’s vocal and flow prowess. Popcaan raps over the beat to hit all the low notes easier. He also sings to get both the top notes and the mellowed out parts of the song covered.
