Celebrated Kenyan gospel musician Bahati has dropped a new song dubbed ‘Nakupa Moyo’ featuring award-winning female artiste Akothee.

‘Nakupa Moyo’ is a testimony of God’s goodness and blessings to Bahati and Akothee.

In the new release, the two musicians highlight how God has uplifted them from tough situations and blessed them massively, thus the decision to give their hearts to him.

In view of the above blessings, the artistes note that there is nothing else they can give the Almighty God other than their hearts.

“Umenitendea na mengi nilipe na nini, nakupa moyo, umenitendea na mengi nyumbani kazini… nakupa moyo… Nipigwe na mawimbi, umenilinda siamini,” the song’s lyrics read in part.

The song has a mixture of Swahili, some little bit of Luo, and other languages, creating a nice blend, which gives it an additional taste of splendor.

Listening to the song, you get to feel that Bahati and Akothee are truly grateful and actually mean what they are singing, thanks to the emotions being displayed.

The beats are slow and complement the mellow voices of both Akothee and Bahati.

Barely, a day after it premiered, the song has already managed over 100,000 views on YouTube.

This is Bahati’s fourth major collaboration this year having previously worked with; Boondocks Gang, the Kannsoul, and Ethic.

This year, Bahati seems to have focused on working with secular musicians, judging by the several projects released so far, and his fans are eagerly waiting to see who will be next.
